By His Stripes - journal

"by His stripes we are healed"
1 Peter 2:24, Isaiah 53:5

This scripture came to my spirit on Good Friday as I walked down our hallway.

The overall background is a scanned, striped skirt from my friend who was healed of cancer by God. The cross is a traced drawing by my son. Jewels were placed on the cross to symbolize that we are His precious sons and daughters. The fabric is torn down the middle representing that we can have a personal relationship with God through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. Amazingly this image was completed on Easter Sunday.
