Emmanuel is the Greek name derived from the Hebrew word Immanuel, which is Immanu (with us) and El (God) – "God with us" from Isaiah 7:14. As I was reading and meditating on Matthew 1:23, I envisioned the word EMMANUEL in a vertical design with the individual letters stacked. "God with us" is in a handwritten typeface, displayed in red, symbolizing God who came in the flesh – Jesus – saving us from our sins through His sacrifice on the cross by His blood. The "1:23" is not only the Scripture reference but also reflects the first month of this new year (1/23). Be encouraged and empowered by Emmanuel – He is with us in 2023 and always!
