Be It Unto Me - frameable print

mara bochart design

And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to your word. And the angel departed from her. Luke 1:38 KJ2000

The Basilica of the Annunciation in Nazareth, Israel, is believed to be the site where God sent the angel Gabriel to the Virgin Mary. "And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for you have found favor with God. And, behold, you shall conceive in your womb, and bring forth a son, and shall call his name JESUS" (Luke 1:30-31). The artwork proclaims her surrendered response.

The lily designed dome is a symbol to the Virgin Mary’s purity and is surmounted by a lantern symbolizing the Light of the World.

Oh God, that we may always surrender and respond, as Mary did, to Your divine plan for us!
